Heartland Restaurant in Cache Creek

We were doing road trip from Alberta to BC and back. On dreary rainy weather, we encountered this family restaurant on the way to Kamloops. This place is definitely one the gems of our trip. Great food, Super nice people. Every one should try their lunch menu. It is superb!

The best Greek food I have ever had. The lamb was incredible! Cooked and spiced to perfection. The calamari was also perfectly cooked. The kitchen is immaculately clean. It will be hard to go on a road trip and not stop here.

Food was great and the service was friendly and efficient. We recommend eating here if you like Greek food. We will be back.

Drove 4 hrs to come here and was there 1.5 hrs before they say they close walked in and they said they were closed not impressed . So went to hungry herbies and had a wonderful meal

Ordered the Calamari due to others reviews & was totally satisfied. ALSO, had a wonderful Greek salad. Will most definitely recommend to others & return. * Be aware however, that there are winter hours in effect & in order to get some of this lovely food, you should get there probably before 8pm,..we were almost turned away at 8:15 pm

Incredible food, huge portions and incredible Lamb. My parents who live in Ashcroft took us here for lunch. Wow, the service was great easy to find, it's right on the #1 highway going through Cache Creek attached to the Sandman Inn. We will definitely come back, if you love Greek food this is the ticket.

For a little out of the way restaraunt the food was exceptional. It took some time but not long considering how fresh it was.

Very good and biggggg

My sister-in-law and I were passing through Cache Creek and stopped at the Homestead for an early dinner. She had liver and onions and I had the Lemon Chicken. My sister-in-law said the liver was done perfectly. I thought the lemon chicken was excellent. It also included rice pilaf and a vegetable. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Busy busy busy. Server Angela was literally running. Cook actually came out and took some orders. Food was wonderful and well worth waiting for. Angela still managed to come and check on us several times. Highly recommend *****

Good Greek food really busy place

Another a lovely hidden gem of wonderful Greek food in Cache Creek! My last visit I ordered Kalamari. The chef came out to express his concern for the quality of the oil in the fryer & get a"back up order". It was some of THE BEST Kalamari I've had in years!! OMG... I will be back for the Kalamari when the oil is fresh!

Folks if your ever driving through Cache Creek or just out on a Sunday drive then I highly recommend stopping in at this quaint little restaurant. I just had the best lamb dinner I’ve had in a very long time and can honestly say that this little restaurant is an absolute must for Greek food lovers.

We only went there for breakfast. Service was great and prompt. Food came quickly. The sausages were so bad that none of us could eat them and I didn't even want to give them to my dog. The rest of the meal was good. Basically a kind of lame diner, but with a bit higher prices than the quality of the food. Perhaps other meals are good there, but I'd skip breakfast.

Get their Eggs Benny or Lumberjack for breakfast! You will not be disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great! What I loved most, is that they served authentic homemade country breakfasts. Will definitely stop by again in the future--you should too!

We had supper here today and ordered the seniors lasagna for$12.95 per menu. When the bill arrived we were charged full regular price of$16.95 and the waitress jesicca #00035088 mentioned that is what the machine came up with and ignored the requests for change

Last night i had the best dining experience of my cross country trip. This morning i had my worst, both at Heartland. This morning was cold undercooked eggs with hair in them. Ew. Server was also bad at her job.Last night was great. Very personable server and amazing veal parmigiana. Apple crumble for dessert.Great place for supper; skip breakfast.

11 of us grow up to the place and got off our bikes before we realized it was closed. The owner saw us opened the door and cooked us a most wonderful lunch. There was only him at first so it was self-serve beer out of the cooler, he did bring us waters. His tzatziki sauce is to die for, we also had ribs, Greek salad, shish kabob, pork chops, fries and calamari. I don't think any restaurant owner could have done more for us. And the food was literally some of the best food we've ever had.

Food is a bit on the pricy side but you do get larger portions. Flavours are good and the service is attentive and friendly. The chicken souvlaki actually comes with two skewers which was really nice. Note they are currently only open for dinner.

Unintentionally brilliant. 2 hour wait for an OK burger. The waitress took our order 3 times. Great banter with fellow customers though, quite a fun evening out in the end. Much better food and service at the Bear's Talon.

It's a pleasant, homey restaurant in a very small town. I had the roast lamb day's special two days ago when we were passing through Cache Creek and I recommend it. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful, the salad and rice were good too, the baked potato was ok. Service was relatively fast and efficient.

Great local restaurant. Definitely worth a stop if you're driving through or if you want some great Greek food!
